About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.


Group Finance

We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.


The Enterprise Data Strategy & Analytics team is a business function that leads the strategy, utilization, and deployment of the banks next generation analytics capabilities and infrastructure.


The team is part of the group Data Management Office that will take the organizations’ data and analytics to the next level through use of latest data and analytics technology within the bank.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion the utilization and adoption of our enterprise data platform incorporating big data, data warehousing and analytics capabilities into our Regional Offices and businesses.
  • Lead and champion the bank’s data monetisation programs and use cases across the region incorporating key functional areas such as data strategy, analytics and data governance
  • Trusted advisor senior executives and business stakeholders to provide deep data expertise and advisory on integrating data and analytics into business objectives and outcomes
  • Develop and execute the Data and Analytics Strategy Roadmap for the UOB Regional offices to drive value realization from data and analytics
  • Manage and lead delivery of analytical assets including analytical deep-dives, dashboards, AI and machine learning solutions to help businesses leverage their internal/external data assets for strategic decision making
  • Ensure all Data and Analytics projects and enhancements align with the Group Enterprise Data Architecture and Governance
  • Have in-depth knowledge of regional data landscape and recommend improvements and controls (in terms of processes and systems) to enhance quality of the data and support regulatory needs in each of our Regional Offices and businesses.
  • Involved in assigned business/support units in our regional offices data and analytical asset build to ensure capabilities are reusable from enterprise level
  • Champion innovation under the management’s guidance and directives.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum tertiary degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering , Computer Science or a related field
  • Min 15 years working experience in Data, Analytics or Business Intelligence
  • Strong track record and in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and Big Data platforms and excellent Technical to Business and vice versa translation skills
  • Solid experience in regional management, operating models, and delivery of data analytics in the banking and finance industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated success presenting in a clear and compelling manner to cross-regional stakeholders that persuades action
  • Demonstrated project management to help drive organizational results and outcomes
  • Good working knowledge of BI Tools, Data Marts, AI/machine learning and data governance
  • Strong leadership and team management capability
  • Good team player who possesses drive and initiative to lead both direct and virtual teams located in various countries
