About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.


Group Finance

We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.

Job Responsibilities

Team lead for Business Finance team supporting Group Business Banking, Singapore and regional countries.


Understand Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework and proficient in financial ratios such as RoRWA% and ROA%, and be able to validate and review business drivers and assumptions to support business decisions.


  • As BB business finance lead, to track and monitor actuals monthly financial performance and tracking against forecast / budget for all countries, pre-empt and highlight issues to GBB Head (if any).
  • Take a lead role in the monthly forecast, annual budgeting and strategic planning through working with Business Banking, and respective countries business finance counterparts to validate business drivers, expenses, application of FTP etc, to ensure that they are aligned to Overall Group strategy. 
  • Prepare/Review financials for transformation strategic projects and ensure robustness.
  • Facilitate and lead sessions to liaise and guide regional business finance counterparts on their financial performance reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy of loading of monthly forecast, budget into the system by various countries and assist in troubleshooting when required.
  • Drive re-engineering initiatives for GBB to improve cost efficiency and productivity - specifically on cost allocations to find cost saves and avoidance to improve productivity.
  • Participate in GBB Start of Week calls, monthly business reviews to provide support in financials and understand/review sales momentum to ensure accurate and realistic monthly forecast assumptions for all countries.

Job Requirements

  • A recognized university degree in Finance/Business or its equivalent.  Accounting background preferred.
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant working experience in banking industry
  • Experience in creation and aligning cost center, GL and product hierarchy
  • Meticulous, analytical and pro-active in solving problems
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Able to present recommendations with clarity and conviction to meet business goals.
  • Driven and energetic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of organization
