About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

Group Finance

We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.

Job Responsibilities

The incumbent will be part of Group Performance Management, focusing on cost reporting, analysis and strategic productivity initiatives for Group Channels and Digitalisation (GCD). You will play a pro-active role in supporting analysis of business drivers, identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and provide advisory support on cost related policies/ framework. You should also be able to assimilate various business events and developments into meaningful/ coherent reports.

  • Partnering with business stakeholders in Group Channels and Digitalisation to identify opportunities and initiatives to deliver on financial targets and Channels strategy (e.g., Branch network optimisation, digitalisation) 
  • Business intelligence and decision support focused on channel profitability and cost management
  • Actuals review, analysis, forecasting and forward looking analysis of channel profitability and expenditures
  • Cost management studies and analysis to achieve cost efficiency and productivity
  • Provide input for cost allocation methodologies
  • Assistance with business case review for key initiatives (e.g. digitalisation) 
  • Monitoring of benefits related to material/significant investments
  • Annual planning and budgeting including Headcount planning and Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP); Capital expenditure
  • Single point of accountability for financial matters to the business with support from appropriate SMEs (accounting policy, tax, financial reporting)
  • Special projects and strategic support; support business specific as well as finance-related initiatives

Job Requirements

  • A recognised university degree in Finance/ Business or its equivalent.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant working experience in financial analysis and performance management in banking institutions.
  • Knowledge of banking related products, management accounting principles and experience in strategy related initiatives. 
  • Driven and energetic individual with strong business acumen, interpersonal & communication skills to lead change management.
  • Good team player with the ability to independently build meaningful and trusted relationships with all stakeholders
