About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to Head of Planning & Standardisation for Group Wholesale Banking  & Markets T&O portfolio (responsible for business partnership), you will play dual role - Support strategic planning and governance support for the entire team in collaboration with/directly working with Senior Executive Directors of segment leads and/or operations unit heads and Support Head of the Department on selected set of initiatives and senior management / C Level meetings

He/she will work hand in hand with internal GTO stakeholders such as Head of IT delivery teams, Head of Enterprise Support Services, COO Office, Project Portfolio Managers, HR Team leads, Finance Team leads

Details of the functional areas this role is accountable for and directly works on include:

Project Management
•    Work with Segment T&O Heads and Programme Managers to streamline, standardise project approval presentations C-level worthy, create & own presentations for select strategic programmes and create management PSC / project progress update summary presentations
•    Execute selected strategic initiatives sponsored by Head of the department

Financial Management: 
•    Support department Cost Management Initiatives
•    Support annual budgeting cycle (planning & strategy) including prior year analysis / priorities

People / Workforce Management
•    Talent Acquisitions Progress, Headcount Reporting working with HRBP
•    Work with Segment leads / Operation Unit Heads to analyse and report thematic people issues and recommend management actions (e.g attrition reduction initiatives)

Communication and Staff Engagement
•    Townhall Presentation preparation in collaboration with segment / operation leads
•    Offsite planning (including agenda setting) and preparation including coordinate inputs, deck presentation with department leads and programme managers
•    Set best practice templates / examples for broader team adoption

Job Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience
•    A minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Banking / Financial Services IT and/or Business consulting domain
•    The candidate must have track record of operating as Business Manager, COO Office, Business Consulting with hands on experience in the areas of C-level presentations preparations, Management Reporting, Strategy and Planning activities, Financial Management, Workforce Management and Process and Governance
•    As this is a critical position, he/she is expected to build strong working relationship and partnership with members of the internal team as well as outside Business /  Support Function Teams, to effectively provide timely response to management requests
•    Banking IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
•    Strong collaborative skills and proven ability in building relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
•    Strong meeting organisation and facilitation skills, experience in interfacing with senior management and technical support team alike
•    Able to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environment, able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and demand from senior management
•    Able to adapt and work in ambiguous situation with minimum guidance 
•    Good analytical skills, positive attitude, good learning ability with greater attention to details and ability to multitask
•    Self-motivated, self-starter, demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision 
•    Comfortable challenging ideas and working with disparate groups to bring consensus; experienced negotiator & skilled in conflict resolution
•    Business domain knowledge in Wholesale Banking, Global Markets, Asset Management areas 
•    Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills, as this is a highly visible position with substantial impact
•    Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business

•    Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance or similar domain
•    Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous
