About the Department

The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today’s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and advice on Group’s policies, frameworks and guidelines to Overseas Banking Entities (OBE) Compliance function
  • Track and monitor regulatory developments in the jurisdictions where OBE operate and update Management of changes and impact
  • Assess and escalate significant and emerging regulatory compliance risks faced by OBE to Management
  • Develop training program to foster compliance literacy and promote compliance culture of OBE Compliance function
  • Identify systemic issues, gaps and recommend mitigating controls for adoption and application across OBE Compliance function
  • Review regulatory compliance related management reports and documents submitted by OBE Compliance function
  • Co-ordinate, analyze and submit information requests made by internal stakeholders/ regulators
  • Act as main touch-point of OBE Compliance function
  • Lead/ participate in strategic reviews/ projects/ initiatives as and when assigned


Job Requirements

  • Recognised University degree or relevant professional qualifications
  • At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in compliance or regulatory work in the financial service industry.  Working experience with overseas banking entities will be a bonus
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
