About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle FAST, IBG, DDA and cheques related operations eg clearing; reconciliation; processes relating to recall/return of funds eg correspondences, service calls to customers, monitoring, adjustments;
  • Monitoring operations performance to ensure the team is meeting SLA at all times and is maintaining a high standard of operations control and compliance
  • Manage and resolve customers’ and business units’ feedback/complaints and queries promptly
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, risk controls, efficiency and service quality in the team
  • Assuming the role as a mentor to coach junior staff to ensure high standard of performance, productivity and service quality
  • Support in digitization effort driven by the management and ad-hoc /admin tasks assigned

Job Requirements

  • Possesses at least a recognized diploma certificate
  • At least 5 years of working experience in retail banking, back office operations in areas relating to payment processing, in particular Giro and Cheque clearing. 
  • Possesses Supervisory experience
  • Sound knowledge of retail banking products and the operations of such products
  • Experience in change management projects, including reengineering operation processes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with capabilities to resolve customers’ complaints
  • Willingness to take up new job responsibilities when required
  • Proficient in MS office Application, especially Excel
