About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare credit related searches, including Company search, BWCIF alert information and Court Debt search, prepare memo, LCR and cancellation advice
  • Prepare Letter of Offer and related documents based on CAS / ES, guidance from Relationship Manager / Credit Analyst and prevailing guidance on the latest templates of facility letter
  • Support limit Implementation of credit facility, and maintain facility set up, renewal and cancellation list and archive the credit files into the warehouse.
  • Maintain client information and credit facility in the prescribed registers, filing in proper order according to the prescribed filing procedures
  • Prepare all-in Yield summary table
  • Support Credit monitoring process including covenants, insurance renewal, valuation report, credit review overdue status
  • Handle ad hoc client enquiry and request, and escalate to Relationship Manager on timely manner as necessary
  • Support any company amendment request from client and to facilitate the update with relevant departments
  • Support on necessary internal or external audit and review exercises with need of documentation retrieval
  • Support Corporate Banking team on administrative and clerical activities (e.g. copying, pitch book binding, client entertainment booking, Stationary control, user access setup. etc)
  • Responsible for intra and inter-department documents delivery e.g. incoming fax, letters, and register for outgoing mail and arrangement for courier delivery
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks including reporting or as assigned by THs and DH from time to time

Job Requirements

  • University graduate or professional with recognized qualifications in banking, finance or related business disciplines
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate or commercial banking, with past experience on credit admin or facility letter preparation will be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of credit analytical skills with risk-based mindset
  • Proficient in both writing and verbal communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal communication
  • Willingness to take on ad hoc tasks which may be assigned, and ability to deliver with tight timelines
  • ECF Certificate is preferred
