Wholesale Banking - Financial Institutions Group China

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing professional and efficient credit risk assessment of financial institutions (banks, NBFI).
  • Close monitoring of the counterparties and the industry sectors under her responsibilities and providing timely reports and alerts on any material counterparty development or critical market events or major legal/regulatory changes.
  • Determining the level of risk appetite for transactions and counterparties while balancing the business needs.
  • Performing credit analyses and making sound recommendations on credit lines and documentation requirements through a process of annual/semi-annual portfolio reviews and annual/ad hoc counterparty analyses.
  • Conducting industry research for the team as well as obtaining up-to-date information on the counterparties, legal and regulatory environment.
  • Processing of annual/ad hoc reviews on country portfolios or counterparties in a timely and effective manner.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance of the same.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of internal ratings which are supported by detailed rating rationales in response to changing circumstances.
  • Maintaining a close and professional dialogue with lines of business and relevant functions (including Legal and Compliance) to understand the market practices.
  • Coordination of regular/ad hoc portfolio exposures reporting to Head Office/Regulators.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from a recognized university
  • At least 8 years relevant working experience in banking industry
  • Credit writing and analysis skills 
  • Good knowledge of Chinese banking and regulations
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Team player
  • Keen to learn
  • Good spoken and written English and Mandarin
