About the Department
Business Management (Global Markets) is responsible for a wide range of activities supporting corporate and business unit needs. Activities include administrative support, ancillary support, business resilience and security, corporate real estate, and more. The Business Unit Management area is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day running of a front office or infrastructure or area. Responsibilities may include budgeting and forecasting. May assist in strategic business planning.
Job Responsibilities
Primary role
Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Participate in BCM-related initiatives, including strategic planning, call tree updates, and BCP documentation.
- Conduct and oversee Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical functions and interdependencies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) across Global Markets’ departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure BCP strategies align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with business units and IT teams to validate disaster recovery (DR) capabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BCM activities, including plans, test results, and audit responses.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management reviews.
- Liaise with internal departments, group-level BCM teams, and external vendors to ensure coordinated continuity efforts.
- Serve as a member of the crisis response team during incidents.
- Ensure timely escalation to the Incident Response Team (IRT) when necessary.
- Provide BCP-related support for overseas business operations.
Secondary role
Administration Services
- Liaise with Procurement and Finance teams for purchase requisitions.
- Manage financial operations including invoice verification, cost allocation, payments, and accrual processes.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as updating the organization chart, maintaining distribution lists, staff onboarding/offboarding, and managing office supplies (e.g., stationery, name cards).
Premise & Security Services
- Coordinate with Corporate Real Estate Services on facility-related matters such as space planning, power shutdowns, and workplace safety.
- Work with the Security team on access control, CCTV monitoring, and security reviews.
- Prepare monthly reports and support ad-hoc assignments as required.
Other Responsibilities
• Address IT infrastructure-related issues or requests, including basic desktop troubleshooting, market data systems, and dealing phone systems.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in business continuity within the banking industry; experience in dealing room IT is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and finance, including front-to-back processes and risk.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
