About the Department
Compliance and Controls - Back-Office Controls is responsible for the design and maintenance of the firm’s oversight and control frameworks. The Back-Office Controls focus specializes in delivery of the firm’s end-to-end controls framework within a particular functional area. Liaises with Compliance and Risk departments to ensure a seamless integration of the controls framework. Control Functions cover activities related to functions such as legal, compliance and anti-money laundering, audit, and risk management.
Job Responsibilities
This is a key role within Global Markets (GM) Business Management responsible for product documentation, coordination and management. You will be required to support Front Office in documentation of products, understand the product / business rationale and key considerations associated with new products implementation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operationalize and spearhead the GM product management process for products under the purview of the Pre-Trade Approval Group and the Product Program Committee.
- Partner with GM Product Managers from Front Office to facilitate new product launches and ongoing product review of existing products.
- Proactive management of key stakeholders (e.g. risk management, technology and operations, finance, legal and compliance, etc) to ensure key considerations and associated issues, if any, are addressed in a timely fashion to shorten the “time-to-market” for new products / markets.
- Maintenance of product documentation and information database.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Banking & Finance or Accountancy, or relevant disciplines.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experienced hires with background in Global Markets / Treasury, Operational Risk Management (ORM) or Audit function will be considered favorably.
- Meticulous with an eye for detail.
- Fast learner with a positive attitude.
- Basic to advanced MS Access, Excel and Word skills.
- Good in documentation and admin work.
- Strong team player and able to speak well.
- Able to work OT as and when required.
