About the Department

The Global Market function leverages our in-depth knowledge of markets to provide timely financial advice, products and solutions to our clients. Together with our segment managers, we manage our clients’ investment, liability and risk management needs through a comprehensive suite of treasury products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage regulatory compliance and audit for Global Markets segment.
  • Facilitate audits and compliance reviews on Global Markets.
  • Handle queries and provide guidance to Front Office on regulatory compliance and governance issues, such as cross border activities, conflict of interest assessment, personal trading, fair dealing, product risk rating and sales governance process and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Ensure dealers’ adherence to regulatory requirements by assessing relevant Front Office business requirements, conducting new dealer briefings, monitoring completion of required papers, tracking of relevant declarations and completion of e-learnings and applicable Continuing Professional Development hours (‘CPD Requirements’).
  • Work closely with Front Office, Group Wholesale Banking segments and Group Compliance to achieve synergy in business initiatives and regulatory projects and implementation.
  • Streamline Group initiatives across all applicable Global Markets overseas centres.
  • Collate information for periodic MAS requests and during MAS inspections.
  • Adhoc projects relating to Global Markets.

Job Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years’ relevant working experience in Assurance / Compliance / Operational Risk function in a financial institution
  • University Degree required
  • Familiar with Treasury business, and good understanding of Treasury-related products and processes. Knowledge on SFA, FAA, DFA, MIFID and EMIR would be an added advantage.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of risk and controls
  • Experienced and strong project management skillset set

  • Team player who can provide strong support and suggestions
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Possess growth mindset
