About the Department

BlockChain and Digital Assets acts as the Center of Excellence to look into applications of blockchain and digital assets to prepare the Bank for eventual pervasiveness of blockchain technology in the financial markets and be ready to manage our clients’ digital assets. 

We focus on harnessing this innovative technology to transform assets with real economic value to facilitate more efficient transactions, settlements, enhance financial inclusion, and unlock economic value for the bank and our clients.
 

Job Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join this team to define the bank’s direction and develop plans to realize our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of leading nascent business ideas to grow and creating tangible benefits for the organisation and industry. 

  • Formulate, contribute and execute the Group’s strategy for digital assets
  • Participate and lead industry engagements on topics related to digital assets
  • Identify and explore new markets and products, where blockchain technology can have a meaningful impact
  • Engage potential partners to discuss collaboration opportunities
  • Develop and secure buy-in for business cases
  • Together with the other stakeholders, lead proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and pilots
  • Work with stakeholders to drive delivery and commercialization
  • Develop and maintain a strong network within the blockchain and finance industries
  • Monitor the evolving landscape and contribute towards internal education efforts
  • Focus on the people side of change, which involves preparing, supporting and equipping people to adopt the technology into their course of work
  • Develop and implement  plans that maximize understanding of blockchain and digital assets across the bank
  • Design, develop and deliver key communication and training programs to maximize effectiveness
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Degree in business or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 15 – 20 years of experience in strategic planning and change management
  • Strong knowledge of Banking, Blockchain and Digital Assets including its practices, competitive landscape and typical problems that it faces and willingness to keep abreast of advancements. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments to identify challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, critical and creative thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills; Attention to detail with strong research capabilities
  • Active listening, excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Ability to develop convincing proposals for senior management decision making 
  • Excellent abilities in leadership, logic, innovation, collaboration and confidence giving others direction
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company information
  • Strong drive to remain focused, self-motivated and committed to completing or achieving tasks.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
