About the Department


Established in 1986, UOB Asset management (UOBAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Overseas Bank, is the Asian asset manager in the region with award-winning investment expertise across different asset classes.

UOBAM is headquartered in Singapore and has an extensive presence in Asia with regional business and investment offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan and Japan. Our network also includes UOB Islamic Asset Management.

We invite dynamic and highly motived individuals with good qualifications to join us as Operational Risk Manager.

Job Responsibilities


We are looking for an ambitious and energetic individual to join our Institutional Business team as a sales professional. This person will help to acquire new direct clients for UOB Asset Management’s investment solutions and products.


Key responsibilities will include:


•    Identifying opportunities and generating client leads for the marketing of investment solutions and products to corporate and institutions in Singapore 

•    Developing and delivering customized investment proposals for such solutions in close consultation with portfolio managers and analysts 

•    Conversion of leads and opportunities into incremental client assets

•    Managing institutional client relationships and increasing client engagement

Job Requirements


•    A degree holder with minimum 5 years’ investment sales and marketing experience in a similar capacity in the financial planning, asset management, private banking, corporate banking and/or experience providing capital market solutions to corporate or institutional clients.  Experience with fund sales in a corporate wealth or financial advisory environment is directly relevant

•    Excellent customer skills and a strong sense of initiative, drive, hunger and ability to work under pressure to meet and exceed sales objectives

•    Good knowledge and understanding of investment assets and products and ability to advise institutional investors on asset allocation studies and present investment proposals

•    Able to work independently, possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.

•    CFA accreditation and/or fund management experience would be a strong advantage.
