About the Department

 

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile

Job Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Head of Private Bank & PFS Wealth, your key responsibilities will be the following: -

  • Responsible for performing credit risk analysis counterparties based mainly in Asia Emerging Markets.
  • Assessing proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure structural risks are properly identified and adequately mitigated.
  • Prepare and present credit analysis in an impactful manner after taking into consideration regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Perform periodic market, regulatory, macro-economic and political developments monitoring and analyses of credit quality of counterparties to ensure that sound portfolio quality is maintained.
  • Support in the development and review of the credit policies relevant and in relation to the full credit cycle; drive portfolio management analytics and performance; and formulate credit strategies in the areas of portfolio maintenance.
  • Responsible to track and monitor Product Program performance benchmarks and work closely with Country Policy & Portfolio Management teams on product program, policies and portfolio issues.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely reporting of related new business information to senior management.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • A recognized university degree, preferably in Statistics, Business and Banking & Finance.
  • 10 to 15 years of working experience in a Private Banking credit role preferably in a credit risk policy and approval capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
  • Strong knowledge of Private Banking Business, capital markets, derivative products) and local regulatory landscape. Familiar with Basel Capital Rules will be an advantage.
  • Strong ability in dealing with people, team player with good communication and presentation skill (verbal and written), highly meticulous and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and manage at both strategic and working levels.
