About the Department
Credit Review is responsible for conducting a detailed credit analysis based on information furnished by the borrower, publicly available information, the lender's evaluation of the borrower's credit needs, and the ability to pay across a range of products against credit standards set by the organization.
Corporate & Commercial Banking covers activities related to providing banking loan products and advice to institutions ranging from small to mid-sized businesses, to the largest corporations. Includes major market middle market corporate banking, business banking, and corporate and transaction banking. Corporate Banking covers activities related to the development, origination, and management of banking loan products, advice, and trade financing for major market corporate clients, including large local companies, financial institutions, and multinationals. Corporate banking generally refers to clients in excess of a given annual revenue.
Job Responsibilities
The Head of Credit Analyst, Singapore has a key role to perform credit, business analysis and structuring for Global Funds & Financial Sponsor (“GFFS”) team within GFIG Department. This includes financing for real assets such as property, data center, infrastructure, renewables, logistics, student accommodation, hospitality etc.
Job Responsibilities
• Prepare credit rating, periodic financial and credit reviews on GFFS borrowers and be responsible for the credit process of the team portfolio and ensure that the credit reviews are completed on time
• Evaluate the overall credit worthiness and their ability to meet their financial obligations for traditional credit-based products as well as a variety of structured banking transactions, trade products and underwriting activities
• Assess proposed transactions against the credit standards and internal policies
• Structuring of proposals according to borrower’s operational demands and bank’s risk appetite
• To ensure accuracy and completeness of internal credit rating factors proposed by business units using appropriate rating models
• Keep abreast of key developments in the industry from regulatory, market and credit perspectives
• Work and coordinate with internal business, product and other partners in Head Office, Overseas Branches and Subsidiaries
• To work alongside team members on business and financial analysis on existing and prospective clients to identify gaps and opportunities
• To supervise and provide relevant training to junior analysts
• Participate in client calls / meetings / documentation discussions as and when required
• Participate in ad-hoc projects such as stress tests, RWA optimization and other counterparty risks / limits related projects
Job Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking & Finance preferred
• Relevant experience in credit analyst role for Global Funds & Financial Sponsors clients
• Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis and real assets credit structuring skills
• Good understanding of banking products and their risks
• Resourceful individual with strong initiatives and positive attitude who is also a team player
• Dynamic, dedicated, self-driven and highly motivated
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
