About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.  

Group Wholesale Banking and Market Operations provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.  

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure SOP and existing/new controls are in place and adhere to.
• Handle full spectrum of documentary trade transactions and to deliver timely and quality service to the Bank
• Review and check Trade Finance Application forms and supporting Trade Documents for Import and Export product.
• Documents Checking for Import and Export as per LC terms and adhered to UCP rules /ISP 98, MAS, AML/CFT procedures and internal policies.
• Price check, Vessel check, highlight irregularities and red flag showed in documents for further escalation and approval.
• Daily Funding are accurate and timely reporting to Funding desk
• Work with team members to achieve daily tasks completion
• Ability in communication effectively with team members, internal stakeholders and external clients for daily due bills and others operational matters
• Follow up with clients to ensure timeliness of receipt of all trade documents/instruction
• Review and opine on new product, processing involvement and process improvement
• Assist the Team Lead in any administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of trade operations experience in all areas of international trade
• Sound knowledge of UCP, ISBP, URC,ISP,URDG.
• Experience in structure trade finance ops advantageous.
• Able to multi-task with strong ops risk awareness, team management skills, analytical and problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills, clear and concise in communications
• Able to both work independently and together with a team
