About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
- Maker-Verification Officer handling validation of customer instructions and pre-processing checks for products such as Time Deposits, Maxiyield, Structured Products, Remittances, Cashiers' Orders and Demand Drafts
- Maker for data input and transaction processing in various bank systems
- Performs reconciliation and resolves discrepancies in GL/System reports• Monitors and ensures SLAs are met and exception handling are closely monitored and followed up with adequate approvals according to Delegation of Authority.
- Adhere to SOPs and ensure compliant with applicable Regulations and Bank Policies.
- Handle queries from Business Units within agreed time frames
- Carry out any adhoc assignments/ projects as given by Section Head and Department Manager
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve productivity and mitigate risks.
- Administrative duties such as filing and archival.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree with 1 year of working experience, ideally in Banking or Operations
- Open to entry level, on job training is provided
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Systematic and knowledge of Fixed Deposits, Structured Products and Remittances
- Open to contract role
