About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
Position Overview
The Head of Structured Trade Operation Control will oversee the day-to-day operations that support Structured Trade Commodity Finance business covering Singapore, Hong-Kong and China market. This role is critical in ensuring business continuity, enhancing service quality, and driving strategic initiatives that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality delivery.
- Manage in execution and monitoring of structured trade transaction, ensuring compliance on the established/review department procedures and other Bank’s policies, guidelines, regulatory, governance, AML/CFT procedure and Industry Best Practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and implement a robust support for new products and services, facilitating smooth integration into existing process.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive operational effectiveness to increase productivity, support business growth and ensuring business continuity planning.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of key operational and business initiatives to enhance overall performance.
- Manage and monitor annual budget for the department and ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirement.
- Conduct performance management review to assess team performance, set objective, and identify areas of improvement.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder to ensure alignment and support for business objective.
- Identify potential risk within the department processes and implement measures to mitigate them
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field, advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Structured Trade Middle Officer or similar roles within the financial serves sector. At least 5 to 10 years of experience in leadership and project management
- Strong in Trade Finance technical knowledge familiar with UCP, ISBP, URC URR, ISP, URDG, MAS/ABS Guidelines and experience in all areas of international trade.
- Strong understanding of Structured Trade middle office functions and process and possess good knowledge of Commodity preferred.
- Proven track record in managing teams and cross-functional projects.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work at fast -paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
