About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

The Enterprise Banking Business Manager (BM) is a front line role. The BM will be assigned a portfolio of SMEs in the mid-tier segment and is expected to manage the portfolio with a focus on cash, trade, loan and treasury income with cross-selling of other products such as Bancassurance and Asset Management where applicable. The BM is to actively call on clients to deepen relationships and proactively responding to and anticipating any future needs or risks and assist customers accordingly. BM is also expected to work closely with product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure customized solutions that meet clients’ unique needs and is responsible for resolving issues in the portfolio to enhance customer satisfaction. The job scope further includes compliance with regulatory requirements and UOB’s policies / guidelines at all times.

Job Requirements

•    Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking & Finance preferred
•    Basic credit and marketing experience in handling local SME businesses
•    Good understanding and knowledge of commercial banking products and process
•    Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work effectively in a team setting
•    Strong business acumen and able to deliver targets
•    Dedicated, self-driven and highly-motivated
•    Ability to cope with high volume of workload and to multi-task
