About the Department

 

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group’s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Partner closely with the module owners, technology teams and preferred vendor to manage, maintain and enhance the enterprise-wide Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system so as to provide users with a system that is very easy to use and optimally functional
  • Work with the respective GRC module owners to maintain and update the GRC dashboard so that it provides complete and accurate information for management reporting
  • Coordinate all internal and external audit-related activities for the department with the respective teams concerned
  • Manage, maintain and enhance the mandatory e-Learning course on operational risk management with the preferred vendor
  • Coordinate finance and budget-related activities for the department
  • Coordinate training-related activities for the department
  • Support Group insurance management
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

 

  • At least 8 years of IT project management experience involving a GRC system; preferably with operational risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience from the banking industry.
  • Self-starter, with initiative and self-drive to produce high quality work.
  • Degree holder or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong team player and collaborator to achieve the agreed objectives.
  • Highly flexible and adaptive to manage varying exigencies at work.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Familiar with data analytics and visualisation would be an advantage.
