About the Department

The Group Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

 

Group Finance
We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of Group Consolidation and Reporting team, focusing on the preparation of Group financial results, financial statements and annual reports. The team also ensures compliance in reporting and disclosures as required by the respective statutory bodies.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
  • Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly associate reporting and relevant annual report notes
  • Execute controls over the financial close process for associates and Group consolidation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
  • Coordinate and assist with queries from stakeholders including other departments, management, regulators, external auditors etc
  • Provide guidance and support over closing issues, accounting policies and processes (example. accounting treatment, GL, new disclosures, etc.)
  • Support and ensure compliance in reporting and disclosures as required by the respective statutory bodies, audits, as well as internal procedures 
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
     

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional certification
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Able to organize and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced and deadline –oriented environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong numeracy and analytical mind 
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS
  • Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Good understanding of systems / tools such as SAP, Hyperion, OBIEE and Power BI
