About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

 

Group Finance

We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory and performance reporting of the Group.

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking to hire a Vice President, for the GL section of Group Finance Operations. As Vice President, you will be the function data steward of the General Ledger, which encompass the maintenance on the Chart of Accounts for the Group and the daily operations of the GL team. You will also be collaborating with the other divisions/departments across the Bank to drive initiatives to uplift efficiency.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight on daily General Ledger Operations, in the areas of GL controls, monitoring and reconciliations
  • Maintenance of COA and provide advice from a General Ledger & Control perspective with regards to new products roll-out and new system implementation
  • Perform monitoring and checks to identify and escalate any risk and control issues, to ensure they are adequately addressed and resolved promptly
  • Support external/internal audit requests and update internal documentations/SOPs
  • Guide and supervise team members to ensure tasks/processes are executed in accordance to the documented guidelines and control principles
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives (e.g. RPA) to improve operational productivity 
  • Able to perform data analysis on the General Ledger 
  • Understand end to end processes and constantly challenge status quo for continuous improvements

 

Job Requirements

  • A recognized university degree in Finance/Business or its equivalent. 
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience in accounting
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft applications and familiarity with reporting tool such as Power BI and QlikView will be an added advantage
  • Able to re-engineer and automate processes to drive efficiency 
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills and pro-active in solving problems 
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Driven and energetic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of organization
