About the Department

Group Strategic Communications and Brand is responsible for protecting and promoting the UOB brand. Working closely with our stakeholders, we create and execute integrated communications campaigns to promote awareness and understanding of the Bank’s approach to supporting its customers and the communities in which it operates.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative self-starter with a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for impactful visual communications and a person who is on top of current and emerging digital communication trends.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and execute social media advertising campaigns to increase followers and engagement, drive advocacy and brand preference.
  • Monitor, track and optimise allocated marketing budgets and marketing initiatives to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Provide counsel to stakeholders to adopt best-in-class digital communications practices, to maintain brand standards and to help achieve business objectives.
  • Use social listening tools to analyse and understand social media trends and conversations relevant to the Bank, and share useful insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct proactive social media brand monitoring and work with social media partners where necessary to protect the brand.
  • Manage relationships with social media partners and external agencies to deliver industry leading campaigns.
  • Identify the latest trends in digital and social media landscape – including engagement, experience, media performance and technology, that are of relevance to the Bank.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are audit-ready and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on social media campaigns. Knowledge of social media advertising is essential.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing principles, what it entails and how different digital marketing components fit into the online customer journey.
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset, demonstrated knowledge in social media metrics, reporting and analytics
  • Team-player who can work well in collaborative environment, is sensitive to cultural nuances and has the ability to motivate team members
  • Good knowledge in different aspects of digital and social media, including both Western and Chinese social media networks.
  • Knowledge in social listening and using social media management tools (Sprinklr, Salesforce, Khoros etc) is advantageous.
  • Good communication and written skills with proficiency in English Language (proficiency in other languages will be advantageous).
  • Good time and people management skills.
