About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

 

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

1.    Lead end-to-end data transformation initiatives internally and externally to ensure that the bank fully harnesses the power of data while complying with regulatory requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Connecting with business functions to understand current painpoints
  • Identifying solutions through our on-us data or in combination with off-us data
  • Collaborating with external parties/organisations to leverage the power of data to drive internal business outcomes
  • Ensuring data is stored, structured, encrypted and transmitted in a secure manner internally and externally
  • Harmonisation of both on-us and off-us datasets
  • Pilot-testing & tracking of results based on these data initiatives through marketing campaigns

2.    Plan and execute data transformation roadmap across entire retail bank
3.    Ensure quantifiable ROI from all data transformation initiatives
4.    Collaborate with internal data management and technology & operations teams to enforce processes to safeguard the integrity of our data
5.    Other data-related adhoc activities as required
 

Job Requirements

1.    At least 8 years of experience in the banking industry. Experience in retail banking will be an advantage.
2.    Knowledge of relevant data-related regulations (eg. PDPA, Banking Act) & data warehousing/transmission techniques highly preferred 
3.    Basic understanding of products within retail bank and key financial/non-financial drivers
4.    Strong project management skills to manage key stakeholders & drive quantifiable outcome
5.    Proficiency in programming languages (SQL/Python/R) and marketing analytics tools (eg. Adobe Analytics) will be a plus.
