About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

The Head of Security Awareness and Education will be responsible for the overall strategic direction for the Bank’s security awareness and education efforts in continuously enhancing the security culture in relation to employees and customers. This will be achieved through the delivery of engaging and insightful physical and digital content delivered through various communications channels.


Job Description:


This position will work closely with various business, risk and technology stakeholders to:
 Understand the security education and awareness requirements
 Understand employee & customer susceptibility to cyber threats
 Ensure the Bank delivers the right initivatives and processes to continuously reduce susceptibility while enhancing the security culture across the diaspora of stakeholders to mitigate such threats.
This role will also collaborate with security teams to ensure the right level of business engagement and change management has been undertaken in conjunction with the deployment of new or enhanced security capabilities.
The role will be specifically responsible for the following Awareness and Education service pillars:
 Corporate Security Awareness & Education
 Customer Security Awareness & Education (in conjunction with the business)
 Security Communications and Content Management
 Employee Susceptibility Simulations
 Security Recognition Programs
 Security Project Delivery Change Management (in conjunction with project managers)


Key Responsibilities:


 Lead team of security awareness specialists for the delivery of daily responsibilities required to ensure employees and customers are engaged on a timely basis through the delivery of security awareness and education activities, initiatives and content. This will include managing vendor resources as and when needed
 Provide leadership as an internal subject matter expert with respect to information security education and awareness and own the overall awareness and education strategy and roadmap
 Continuously assess and understand the employee and customer susceptibility to cyber threats in relation to the human factor of information security to serve as requirements to the Bank’s ongoing security awareness and education activities and initiatives
 Provide leadership over strategic projects and service improvements being delivered in conjunction with the Security Awareness and Education service in conjunction with the Bank’s information and cyber security strategy
 Manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the Security Awareness and Education service which includes investments and business-as-usual financials
 Maintain contemporary knowledge of trends and technologies and assess applicability to the Bank’s environment in the spirit of continuous service and capability improvement
 Define and maintain design documentation, processes, procedures and metrics to demonstrate effective and efficient management of services and capabilities
 Provide support for all Audit and Regulatory requests
Others:
 Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including technical and management staff
 Capable of managing a number priorities and deliverables in an operational, interrupt driven environment with minimal guidance or supervision.

Job Requirements

Education


 Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution
 Related professional qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory


Technical Skills


 Overall 10 to 15 years of experience with 3 to 5 or more years relevant experience in managing and delivering Security Awareness and Education programs
 Experience in driving cultural change and understanding human behaviours and motivations to design security awareness and education programs and incentivization schemes
 Good knowledge and understanding of business and security requirements and needs, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain a high level of stakeholder trust and confidence
 Good understanding of security controls and their purpose in the overall protection against security risks for the organization and customers
 Highly process and stakeholder oriented with understanding of basic security concepts and technologies
 Proven track record of decision-making and leadership with matrixed teams.
 Ability to effectively translate and present security in simple to understand business or management terms.
