About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

 

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

Regional Contract Management 

  • Lead and negotiate with schemes on incentive contract and deals, working closely with scheme, legal and various support units to ensure contracts are properly scripted.
  • Monitor and track scheme obligations, working closely with regional markets to ensure timelines and obligations are fulfilled. Responsible for ensuring renewal of contracts are in place before contract expires.
  • Calculate regional scheme incentive bonus, recommend allocation for senior management approval.
  • Consolidate, track and provide updates to regional markets on their performance tracking

 

Rewards Management 

  • Manage rewards cost to ensure product remain profitable by working closely with regional product manager.
  • Identify and recommend areas to reduce rewards costs balancing impact to billings
  • Negotiate with partners at regional level for more price saves


Financials

  • Consolidate and prepare monthly financials across the region for all cards & unsecured lending products. Liaise with regional markets and ensure dashboards are published on a timely and accurate manner. Analyze and highlight key trends, providing business insights. Prepare management deck and provide business recommendations
  • Proactively engage countries to understand anomalies in the financial dashboard and provide guidance and advisory
  • Maintain and track regional balance sheet expenditure, ensuring steady operating balances for regional activities
  • Work with group business finance on definition alignment and financial reporting updates
  • Deeply involved with regional markets in their budgeting exercise to review business assumptions with action plans clearly mapped out


Cost Management 

  • Work closely with markets to ensure A&P invested yields strong ROI
  • Manage and track system enhancement costs.

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, with background in financial accounting
  • At least 3-5 years working in cards and unsecured lending business, with sound understanding of the business drivers and operating model
  • Open-minded, matured and hardworking, with positive mindset
