About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

As a UX writer, your words have the potential to redefine the way our users interact with our products. You engage users in meaningful and useful conversations to guide them to complete tasks and to help them understand our products.

  • Work closely with cross functional stakeholders such as Product Managers, Experience and Visual Designers, Researchers and the Tech team through all stages of the product development cycle
  • Craft and edit end-to-end content that engage and guide users yet drive business goals. These include onboarding, error, promotional and instructional messages.
  • Create content consistent with the style guide
  • Using the right words and tonality to reflect UOB’s voice
  • Ensure the accurate implementation of content into the digital platforms
  • Justify content strategy through empathy, logic and data-backed testing

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong command of English and grammar
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in UX writing on digital platforms, in particular mobile apps, with a portfolio to prove.
  • Experience in engineering A/B testing for content
  • Good to have: Ability to write long-form copy, have a good knowledge on financial products
