About the Department

The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today’s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

Job Responsibilities

1. Advisory

Providing advisory services to the Branch on regulatory requirements in respect of the Branch’s corporate governance, business activities and licensing under the supervision of Compliance


2. Review and Testing

Reviewing and testing of the Branch’s compliance with regulatory requirements and related internal policies and guidelines under the supervision of Compliance Manager.


3. Regulatory Liaison

Acting as the liaison officer for the Branch with Group Compliance (“GC”) and Host Country regulator and other relevant parties on compliance-related matters under the supervision of Compliance Manager.


4. Reporting

Reporting of regulatory issues and breaches of the Branch to GC and Host Country regulator, if required under the supervision of Compliance Manager.


5. Training and Awareness

Facilitating and/or providing training to the Branch staff on regulatory issues/requirements under the supervision of Compliance Manager.


6. Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (“AML/CFT”) and Sanctions The AML/ CFT responsibilities shall included.

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years expirience in Compliance handling AML/CFT, facilitating and/or providing training to staff.

Efficient and both Japanese and English. (Native level in Japanese / TOEIC 900 or more for English)

Expirience in small, middle size offshore foriegn bank in Japan would be desired.
