About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

Loans Operations 

  • Handle a full spectrum of Wholesale Banking loans processing operations in an approver and supervisory capacity, including loan disbursements, repayments, redemption, rollovers, restructuring and data maintenance of accounts 
  • Prepare and verify SWIFT messages related to loans and securities 
  • Ensure day to day transactions are promptly & accurately authorized and processed  
  • Reconciliations and investigations 
  • Supervise and coach team members in performing various critical processes in loan operations  
  • Daily operations in accordance to MAS regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality control process and implements corrective action when needed.
  • Close communication with Credit & Admin Control Team (loan documents), Business Units and other stakeholders 

Management Support and Initiatives  

  • Compile and oversee regular and ad-hoc information for management reporting and monitoring of transactions processing and loan operations 
  • Develop and maintain procedures and manuals for Loan Operations.
  • Proactive and seek opportunities to improve service processes, minimize operational risk and reduce costs 
  • Work in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders on operating procedures, projects, assignments and initiatives 
  • Liaison with auditors and furnish information and reports for audits  

Job Requirements

  • A degree holder 
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in Banking with at least 5 years in corporate banking operations in a lead or supervisory position   
  • Good knowledge of banking practices, operations and procedures.
  • A self-starter and problem solver with initiative and a strong drive to achieve quality work
  • Strong team player and ability to foster teamwork 
  • Good oral and written communication skills 
  • Comfortable in data handling and analysis with Excel   
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of applications
