About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

As the System Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development in the data analytics domain (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes requirement analysis, solution design, development, implementation, testing and support. You will be expected to support SBS, PCCM, DEL applications.

You will be responsible for quality assurance of the team’s delivery in conformance with the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will also collaborate with other technology functions to help deliver required technology solutions.

-    Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
-    Develop system documentation to capture key design decisions
-    Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand
-    Create solution options to meet business requirements
-    Engage user to achieve concurrence on technology provided solution. Conduct review of solution documents along with Functional Business Analyst and Business Unit for sign-off
-    Create technical documents (functional/non-functional specification, design specification, training manual) for the solutions. Review interface design specifications created by development team
-    Perform design and development of applications according to change requests and project requirements
-    Participate in selection of product/tools via RFP/POC.
-    Perform detailed estimation of projects and change requests
-    Review test strategy and functional test cases created by testing team 
-    Monitor and manage risks /issues related to requirements and scope creep
-    Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
-    Continuously work to optimize the production run time of IT applications
-    Execute continuous service improvement and process improvement plans

Job Requirements

Hands-on experience in implementing large scale data warehouse & analytics platforms in financial services industry with good functional knowledge of products & services offered in Retail bank / Wholesale / Global Markets covering some of the following analytics domains: 

  • Experience in Data Modeling, Data mapping for Data Warehouse and Data Marts solutions
  • Credit Risk reporting – Credit Risk Exposure, NPL, Counterparty Risk, Input variables for Basel & IFRS9
  • Credit portfolio management - Decision Support Systems 
    • Enabling creation of various credit strategies involving scorecards, decision trees, ML model 
    • Platform that helps in portfolio management using Behaviour Scores, Customer Segmentation, Limit management, Collection score cards 
  • Building closed loop solutions covering 
    • Data source integration and event sourcing
    • Credit strategy/scorecard authoring 
    • Testing, Simulation 
    • Enabling champion/challenger based analytical processes
    • Channel integration and delivery
  • Data security solutions targeted at full life cycle of data 

At least, 2 to 3 technical certifications in any of the below technologies:

  1. Cloudera Hadoop distribution – Hive, Impala, Spark, Kudo, Kafka, Flume 
  2. Informatica Data Integration – PC, IDR, BDM, MM, IDQ 
  3. Data modelling tools (Erwin)
  4. QlikSense, Power BI
  5. Experian Power Curve, FICO, SAS
  6. AS400
  7. Language – SQL, Java,  Python, Scala
  8. Automation / scripting – CtrlM, Shell Scripting, Groovy 
  9. FICO
  10. SAS
